Sustainability is a key theme in every healthcare concept we develop. We take into account the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the 2015 Paris Agreement targets, and the R-ladder in all our concepts.
When considering sustainability, we focus not only on CO2 reduction but also on creating a better world for us, our children, and our grandchildren. The key principles include:
Through our methods, we contribute to achieving the UN goals and the targets outlined in the 2015 Paris Agreement.
Fossil Fuel-Free Design
All our designs are based on fully electrical solutions, eliminating the use of fossil fuels. The building's thermal energy consumption is minimized and tailored to meet the local needs of patients, staff, and equipment. Over 99% of the thermal energy demand can be met using natural resources. All thermal energy will be generated by nature through earth, wind, and sun. If on-site energy production is not feasible, we seek partnerships with companies that generate energy from natural sources.
Bio-based Materials
Our primary focus in building construction is the use of bio-based materials. We prioritize the use of natural materials in a reusable manner wherever possible.
Modular Solutions
All our concepts are based on standardized designs that fit within a modular structure. With modular solutions, we can provide temporary housing for different departments or entire hospitals.
